Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

This scale doesn't measure properly. It doesn't register a load until at least 2 grams (one time it remained at zero even after I had added 8 grams of coffee beans (see photo). Another time, I had a pot sitting on there and it showed 380 grams. A couple seconds later it said 378, 377, 376 and continued to count down one gram every couple seconds until it auto-shut-off. A scale has to do one thing, and this one just couldn't do it. For the same money, you can get others that a) work properly, b) come with 2 sets of free batteries, and c) come with a 1 year warranty. The good: Amazon, as usual, was totally awesome about the return/refund process. It was painless and cost-free to return it for a full refund. I love amazon still as a seller, and (with this one exception), I love Amazon Basics. I've been very happy with my Amazon Basics keyboard, mouse, bed sheets, towels, umbrella, batteries, etc.. But unfortunately this scale didn't measure up (bad pun, I know). Maybe mine was just a dud, but I'd just go elsewhere on this single item.
