Amazon is a joke!! I have been on the phone for OVER an hour dealing with “customer service”. I purchased this lamp in hopes that I could do my own nails at home since we live far out from any beauty salon. I had only used the lamp for maybe 10 minutes and that’s me being very giving about the amount of running time this lamp has been on. My daughter then requested to have her nails done as that was something we enjoyed doing together.. well as her nails are curing, I hear a loud “POP” noise and then shortly after the lamp was on fire!! Not just a little smoke or flames, but a HUGE fire. The entire thing was on fire and my poor daughter was trying to get her hand out of the lamp in time. I was then able to think on my feet and unplug the source of electricity that was running in the machine. I of course checked on my child and put the fire out! Then once everything was in the clear I proceeded to call amazon to beg them to remove this item immediately!! They gave me the refund, but then absolutely made me angry by saying we can give you a “$15 dollar certificate”!! $15 dollars for causing harm to my child and then the safety of my house?!? Really! I didn’t care about the $15 bucks! I wanted this item pulled off the website so no one else would be in this position! I am urging anyone to not purchase this item! I know it’s a great deal as it was originally $69.99! But it is not worth it! Amazon has very much so disappointed me and I am not sure I will be keeping my prime membership and supporting a company who cares so little for their “valued customers”.
