Arms are plastic and broke first time out.
The description says Aluminum-Alloy, but that must just be the base. The arms that come together to form the ball are plastic and broke when I was trying to place the mount on. I had the nut loosened all the way, but the plastic couldn't withstand the force needed to place the holder on the ball joint.
I had placed the mount on successfully 2 times prior while testing it at home. First time I went to use it in the field it snapped. Really put a downer on my maiden voyage.
