Credit Millionaire? Sorry, not even close...
I received this book as a gift and I'm glad I didn't have to shell out the high price it costs. I've spent less money for really worthwhile books and tons of time on free credit-building websites with forums that ACTUALLY help people get business credit or repair their credit. This book does not. (The idea of being a credit millionaire is very tempting, it sounds like it's much easier to borrow a million dollars than to save it up over years and years, possibly to invest in a business or real estate. The truth is, after talking to quite a few true multi-millionaire real estate investors and entrepreneurs, they all agree that following some of the ideas in this book can show you how to easily lose not only all of your borrowed money but everything you owned BEFORE you took out massive loans. Please consider yourself warned, I know of at least 2 families (1 was a friend, the other through our Church) that have lost everything doing exactly what is described in this book. I was appalled that the author included these 'techniques' in this book.) Personally, I have had 2 years of experience fighting bad credit because someone stole my identity (Always use a diamond-cut shredder on important documents!!) and have been to HELL and back with the credit card companies, trying to get my business credit back up to par while managing a growing business and family. While fighting to get my business credit back up, I had a small arsenal of credit books and resources at my disposal. Would this book have helped? Sorry, no. This book rambles on and on and talks about secrets that are never shared (trust me, I couldn't find these darn secrets anywhere). And there are even a few glaring mistakes in the book. Last time I was at my lawyer's office, I brought the book and asked him if these indeed were mistakes as I thought, and he laughed and said "yeah, that could definitely do some damage." That was the final nail in the coffin. I really wish this book could be better and I feel bad, but I simply cannot give it any more than 1 star - I hope the author learns from this book and makes something better next time, at least not about credit. To everyone else, find cheaper, better made books by experts (I and others will agree Dana Neal has the best credit book out there) and also go to google and type in Bankrate and if you find the web site I did (it should be first in the results) well, you can thank me later :D Also, beware of many (if not all) of the 5 STAR reviews. If you do a few minutes of snooping, you'll find that most of the "reviewers" are friends of the author. What a joke.
