Poorly digitized, flimsy, cheap, Chinese pirate deck.
These cards have been digitized, by an artless, hack with no respect for Smith's original art, and the company needs a health plan that includes optometry. The cards are as thin and flimsy as any modern Rider Waite deck (maybe a uselessly, all but imperceptible amout thicker than the current standard Rider-Waite). I don't know how (or if) they got the permission from US Game Systems to use the pictures, but either these are poorly made non authorised Chinese knock offs (or they got permission by promising to make the cards worse than US Games). The colors are off, it seems they tried making the color pallet bolder. The butcher did not understand when you change a color in one area, the colors around it appear different, thus many characters have shirts the same color as their faces and the overall tone variation is pretty weak. A lot of detail was glossed over in the transition as well, the Knight of Cups' poor horse is missing a section of it's abdomen, because no one looked closely at were sky should end and horse should begin. I should have known "The Original Tarot Deck," would be bad, Smith & Waite created thier deck like a hundred years ago, Tarot goes back at least five hundred. So calling it the original, suggests a lack of knowledge on the subject.
