Pan warped the very first time I used it
This is a great size roasting pan, heavy duty, and I was thrilled to get it for the price. However, the very first time I used it, it warped so badly I can't use it again. I put a 6 lb frozen Purdue chicken that comes in a roasting bag in the pan, put it in a 400 oven on the lower rack per the instructions on the chicken, and roasted it 3 hours. Chicken came out great, no burn spots, no problems with that. But when I took the pan out of the oven and set it on the stove top, it was badly warped, it rocked about an inch from side to side diagonally. Cuisinart booklet that came with the pan stated it was good for 500 degree oven and also good for direct heat on stovetop. I would expect this from my cheaper pans but not an auminum clad heavy stainless steel one. Cuisinart wanted me to pay the shipping to them (at least $10 because of the weight), and enclose a check for $10 for return shipping, and their warehouse would decide if it was a defect or something I did. So, for another $20 in shipping fees, they MAY or MAY NOT honor the warranty? That's some warranty. Unhappy with that, I called Amazon and they are sending a replacement to me at no charge, with a free return label, no questions asked. That's why I love Amazon!
