THE GOOD: The box had a more quality feel than I'd expected...I was pleasantly surprised. If you only store CDs in sleeves (not jewel cases) and don't use divider tabs to organize/categorize your CDs, then this may work for your needs. THE BAD: I thought I'd try something different from the IKEA CD storage boxes I'd been using, and these looked similar. It's a great idea, but they didn't quite cut it. The box's base is a whole 3/7 inch shorter than the jewel case (if you put the jewel cases in with the end labels up so you could read the labels). So if you are like me with some CDs in jewel cases and others in sleeves, the box lid flops around since it basically rests on top of the jewel cases instead of like most storage boxes where the lid is supposed to sit on top of the box's base, not on top of whatever height CD container you have. For comparison's sake, my IKEA box base is 5.75" high, this Snap-N-Store CD Storage Box's base is 5.125" high, and a typical jewel case is 5.625" high. The IKEA CD/DVD Storage boxes are great, because that little bit of extra height on their box also allows room for me to put dividers with tabs to organize and categorize my CDs...al while still having the lid actually rest on the BOX (like a lid is meant to do)! So unless you only have CDs in sleeves, don't waste your money. I think I'll be returning this for a refund and getting more IKEA CD Storage boxes.
