Wasteful - Buy Sandpaper & Fabric Shears Instead
I have so many clothes that get pills, and fuzzballs - so I was stoked to find something to eliminate them. I thought maybe this had some blades or high quality... something. Nope. It's just SANDPAPER housed in some gigantic, plastic contraption. I foolishly thought this would solve my fuzzie problems.
After about 3 clothing items, the edges lost their tooth and became... useless. Only about 1MM of the edge is useful, and once it's gone, it's gone. Even if there are replacements, it's more plastic than edge. And for the cost, I expected this to last at least 20 clothes to de-pill. The fuzzballs are difficult to remove from the edges, and it barely takes fuzzies off thick items. With the long edge, you can't get into small areas - like around buttons.
Instead, get yourself some 100 Sandpaper, rip it into 1 inch strips for your smaller pills. This gives you a better level of control, and you just tear off small strips when the sandpaper wears out (you just brush the little grains off). It's even easier to get the fuzzies off the sandpaper. (I was able to de-pill an entire flannel shirt with this method)
For your larger fuzzballs - get a real nice pair of fabric shears (keep them only for fabric - paper will dull it). Carefully cut at the edge of the fabric and 'snip' away the fuzzies. (I was able to de-pill an entire carpet coat with this method)
