I've owned Roomba vacuums for around 20 years. Because we've always owned pets, they helped keep the hair and dirt down in between our weekly traditional vacuum jobs. I've always told people they are like having a kindergartener vacuum. Not perfect, but it sure helps. We took the plunge on two Roomba i6+ on Prime day. We were most interested in the mapping and the self emptying aspects. We replaced our Roombas that were on our ground floor and our 2nd floor. At this point, I'm not sure I'm glad that we did. These are quite the investment. We have a large home. About 2000 square feet on both floors. These Roombas do a great job on the areas they vacuum, but will only do about 1/2 of each floor before they run out of battery and return "home". Thus, they have never found the rest of the floors and therefore will never map them to be included in the cleaning. I've avoided placing them in those areas to clean for the first week thinking it would mess up their mapping, but finally gave in and have them both cleaning the "lost" areas now. Kind of defeats the purpose of the whole mapping process. Like all Roombas they get lost and stuck. That is always a pain. One has trouble getting securely on the dock for the actual charge and I have to go over and readjust to make sure it is connected. I do like the new brushes which seems to stay much cleaner and the self emptying aspect of these Roombas. It is very loud when they self empty, but it beats me doing it. The suction seems good and they do clean in nice straight lines. The app was easy to load and it is easy to use. I check every morning to see if they vacuumed and for how long. We'll see if they ever figure out how to clean all the floors. If they do, my rating will change to 4 stars. At this point however, they are just newer (and maybe more powerful) versions of the ones now sitting in my closet. BTW: You do get one bag with each Roomba so you can start using them right away. We've order several more as our floors are always very dirty with our abundance of animals shedding and bringing in dirt. I think if you have a smaller home, these would be awesome. But for larger homes, not ideal.
