I prefer manual can openers because they take up less space and its one less appliance. However, this one simply doesn't cut it, so to speak. Like so many other can openers, it doesn't cut all the way around the lid of the can. You are usually left with two spots it will not cut, forcing you to pry open the can with something and risk cutting your hand. If I wanted to pry the can open, I wouldn't have bothered to buy a can opener. And, if you are going to call it a "can opener" it should actually OPEN the can. Now I have to buy another one and hope it works better. This was a total waste of money.
