This laptop gets all the points for the interface components: - Excellent sound - Crisp screen with gorgeously vivid colors - Easy-to-access quick controls like volume mixer and internet connection tab - Clean, professional-looking exterior and keyboard Past the surface, though, everything falls apart completely unless you live (and pay) your entire life online. You cannot download any type of office software AT ALL. Want to use Office? Already paid for a copy? Too bad. You have to buy a monthly subscription to use the app version of Office online! That or do all your work in Google docs. As someone who is required to use Office for work and who already paid full price for a copy, I am appalled that I got a brand new laptop that is *useless* for my needs. I am doubly annoyed because this feature/restriction wasn't noted anywhere - if I'd known I never would have gone for this. Nor can you download pretty much anything else - any information, documents, photos, etc. that you want to store you either have to keep online or you have to have an external harddrive or jump drives for. The computer also keeps resetting to its original browser 'defaults' ever time I turn it off (and it subsequently updates), even though I've gone through and changed them because the default search engines, etc. are terrible. TL/DR: If you already live your entire life online and already pay to keep all of your information, documents, etc. in cloud storage or on an external harddrive and you're a big fan of google, this will be the perfect laptop for you and you'll love it. If you actually need/want anything on the computer itself - and to avoid the pile of monthly payments that come with totally online work/storage - this laptop will do nothing for you. I just wish someone (anyone!) had told me that before I tried it.
