No Reduction in Wrinkles After 6-Weeks of Use
My face reflects my 56+ years of age and the related damage from the sun and other factors. I realized lately that I take good care of my home, truck, motorcycles, and shop equipment, so why not take better care of my skin.
I have made half-hearted attempts over the years to take care of my skin, but recently decided it was time to step up my efforts. So I started eating better, taking supplements, drinking a lot more water, switched to a moisturizing soap, and I started using a daily moisturizer with a Broad Spectrum SPF.
On top of that, I started applying a name-brand anti-wrinkle cream at night. In addition, after some research I decided to start applying a Retinol Serum, as Retinol is one of the few topical beauty items that most experts agree on will reduce fine wrinkles.
I purchased Tree Of Life Retinol Serum when I caught it on sale on Amazon as the price was right and it had some good reviews. Once the serum arrived, I started applying it twice a day, once in the morning and once at night after showering and then cleaning my face with a mild astringent.
The Retinol Serum went on smoothly and absorbed quickly with no burning or strong smells. I liked the fact that the serum caused no redness and there was no burning sensation, but I have used products in the past that contained Retinol, most of which gave at least a tingling feeling when applied which made me wonder if this serum was doing anything.
I was not expecting Tree Of Life Retinol Serum and the rest of the renewed skin care regimen to make a drastic change to my face and erase all of my wrinkles, but I thought after 6 weeks or so I would see some minor improvement on some of my finer age lines and wrinkles. And because I knew any improvements would be very gradual I took a before picture on my iPad for later comparison.
Well, it has been a little over 6-weeks and I am at the end of the Tree Of Life Retinol Serum. I experienced no breakouts or completion issues, but unfortunately that is all that I can say that is positive. I see absolutely no reduction in age lines or wrinkles, actually some of the wrinkles seem a little deeper. Which is all fairness is probably par for the course since I am 6-weeks older than when I started using Tree Of Life Retinol Serum.
I also reviewed before and after pictures on my iPad, which again when showed no improvement, heck I can now see some new wrinkles that were not there just 6 weeks ago.
Bottom line, I have to give Tree Of Life Retinol Serum a 1-star rating due to the lack of any effectiveness. Maybe I got a bad bottle, or maybe I am aging at an accelerated pace. Keep in mind that each person’s skin is different so maybe this product will work for you, however I will not be reordering.
I’ve included two picture, one showing my old grizzled face with all age lines intact after 6-weeks of using Tree Of Life Retinol Serum. The second shows usage information and ingredients found on the bottle.
Update: I cannot find the % of retinol listed anywhere in the seller’s description or on the bottle or packaging. I posted a question asking the % of retinol but got no responses. I’m going to assume then that the % of retinol n this product is pretty low.
