Amperage is the measure of the electrical current. Higher amps equals more current equals faster charge. Both the charger unit and the USB cable must have high amp output for a quick charge. If you connect a charger unit with a high amp output to a cable with a low amp output, the cable will reduce the current flowing from the charger, resulting in a slow charge. This product's charger unit output and the USB cable output are each only 1.8 amps, which is not enough for a quick charge. Also, the cable is 4 feet long. The longer the cable, the more electricity is lost as heat as it flows through the cable, and the slower the charge. I returned and replaced this product with a TPLtech 3.0 charger with the latest version of Qualcomm quick charge technology (3.0 at this time) and a 3 amp output, and BlitzWolf USB cables with 2.4 amp outputs. The cables came in a 2 pack: one at 1 foot, which I will use for fast charging, and another at 3 foot, which is still reasonably fast given the high amps. Any charger unit with Qualcomm should have a high amp output. Whether it includes a cable that can handle the amperage or throttles it down is another matter, so you may need to purchase a charger and cable separately. LG accessories are low end.
