This has the absolute worst scent. It does not smell like sandalwood. It has a strong perfume odor. It is nasty. When I opened the box for the candle the packaging was covered in waxy essential oil that must have leaked out at some point. Right then and there I knew there was a problem, because the smell was pretty pungent. I had to wipe off the glass lid and sides of the glass container. My fiance' actually had breathing problems and needed to use her nebulizer twice within a four hour period after using this candle. She was actually wheezing at one point. We had to make a trip to the ER the next morning to make sure everything was OK. I had to open the windows to remove the smell from the air, which just lingered. Don't assume the candle will smell like how you expect or how it's described. Go to a store or buy a candle you already know you like. I received a full refund and a $5 credit because Amazon thought this candle caused such a problem for my fiance' and I. Amazon talked about banning it, but they didn't. Consider that when thinking about purchasing this low quality product.
