I tested this with 3 torque wrenches, a Mac, Proto & Snap On. I set all torque wrenches to the same setting then attached the AC Del Co torque adapter and recorded its readings. Mac will be listed at M, Proto as P and Snap-On as SO. 10 ft/lbs M - 14.8 P - 13.5 SO - 11.2 at 20 ft/lbs M - 26.3 P - 26.6 SO - 27 30 ft/lbs M - 39.7 P - 39.7 SO - 38.7 40 ft/lbs M - 55 P - 54.7 SO - 52 50 ft/lbs M - 65 P - 69 SO - 66 To sum it all up, the AC Del Co torque adapter reads a higher torque reading, so you end up under torquing your nut or bolt. For example, if you're using the AC Del Co torque adapter and torque it to 65-69 ft/lbs, its actually around 50 ft/lbs. That kind of inaccuracy is not acceptable with a precision instrument.
