I have always loved the sarcastic whit of John Corey and I liked the relationship between John and Kate the main characters in the John Corey series of books. I was very disappointed in the last book of the series "The Panther" but hoped that this new book "Radiant Angel" would be better - sorry - in my opinion it was a waste of my money - I have all of Nelson DeMille's books and I must say the last two books have been below standard. What is happening here? What has happened to John and Kate? no explanation given - it just leaves you kind of hanging out there. This newest novel "Radiant Angel" seemed way too short after the length of the previous novels. The story line just didn't seem right. The sarcastic whit seemed to be a bit off - no communication between John and Kate thought out the whole book - a text message only. The impression given that Kate is having an affair with her boss - what! You can't just jump into a new book without tying up loose ends - at the end of the previous book there was no indication that John & Kate would be a couple no longer - Get you act together Mr. DeMille - I expect better writing than this.
