★☆☆☆☆
If you actually like Jane Austen, don't watch this movie
Awkward and uncomfortable. Beautiful costumes and colors yet the characters were caricatures with awkward servants in many scenes. The actors were fine, but the whole tone of the movie was off. When Mr. Knightley proposes Emma's nose starts dripping blood. What?! Yuk.
The makers of this movie don't believe in romance or charm.
1 star for the the sets, landscapes, costumes and music.
