Been using the Fire Tv (gen 2) for over a year, and have been fairly happy. I was excited to get an "upgraded" version. I was hoping the menus would be more responsive and applications quicker to load. Too bad. This is barely as "fast" as my older Fire Stick. I can't believe they released this, as it feels like a step back. I understand it's capable of 4k content, but outside of 4k and HDR, EVERYTHING about the experience is bad. There is no built in ethernet port (you have to buy an adapter) and there is no micro-SD card reader. Looks like the only way to really upgrade the fire tv gen 2 is to get an nvidia shield. That's too bad. Really a shame Amazon. I had high hopes.
