I became very suspicious of these picks after using them for a few months. They feel, look, bend, and burn just like plastic. I soaked one in water and buried another in compost for weeks and they did not decompose. Then I came back here to read the questions and sure enough the vendor admits they're just plastic. They say you can recycle them, but they won't accept small plastics like this in most cities. Into the trash they go. Vegan? Yeah, plastic is definitely vegan. As far as performance, they're terrible. They are very hard to get in between my teeth and don't perform nearly as well as the cheapo ones I can get at grocers in the states. They're still painful to use after months. Just an all around bummer of a product. These guys should be ashamed.
