First and foremost, this tank should NEVER be used as a permanent betta tank- the minimum size for these fish to live a happy healthy life is 2.5 gallons, ideally 5 gallons. That said, I got this to use as a hospital tank when I need to treat my little guy for an illness so I don’t contaminate his main tank with meds and chemicals. It’s... well, it’s $10 I suppose. You get what you pay for. The low rating isn’t for the quality, however, it’s for the condition of the “new” item. It was shipped properly, and the main box was undamaged, but when I unwrapped the tank from all the plastic it’s completely stuffed up as though it’s already had a long life. It doesn’t smell used, but it certainly looks it. I wonder if it’s just cheap plastic that scuffs easy enough for the wrapping to damage it? Regardless, I wanted to write the review so others know what to expect. It’s a $10 tank, and you’re getting a $10 tank. It’ll serve its purpose, but please please please don’t trap a poor fish in one of these for a life sentence.
