Wow. On every level....just wow
I went from thinking this was the greatest summer purchase EVER to hating it (and the company) all in one year. I'm not sure I have ever felt so mistreated by customer service as I was with this outfit. First off, the slide park was awesome fun, amazing, talk of the neighborhood for 2months. Then we made sure it was dry, stored it through the winter in our attached (insulated, never freezes) garage. Got it out the following June. Then the rips started. When we called they recommended a type of glue, and fishing line-style thread to stitch the seams. I spent hours....HOURS sewing and gluing and cursing but the pressure on the seams just caused a new area to rip open. When I called and complained they asked me if we always dried it and put it away. As in EVERY DAY?! Then he said "well you didn't leave it in the sun to dry, did you?" Ummmmmm.... what was I supposed to do? Do you realized how huge and heavy this thing is when wet? Then he asked where it was stored. I told him and he said "oh no. It shouldn't be stored in a shed, garage, attic or basement." I actually began to laugh. "Where would you prefer I kept it? My bedroom? The dining room perhaps?" I mean seriously!!! I asked (repeatedly) to speak with someone in authority and I was always told they were not available but would call me back. Do I need to tell you the punch-line to that joke? Yeah, never happened. Look, when you divide the amount we paid through the days of use during the one summer, we would've been better served by a season pass to a water-park. Such a shame, because it is an amazing slide for at-home use, but their expectations for maintenance are just outrageous....... so unless you're willing to build a pavilion to shade it from the sun and a climate-controlled drying and storage facility, you might want to take another look at that water park membership I mentioned.
