I am so disappointed in this dictionary that is supposed to be a “children’s dictionary.” It says it’s geared for the “young student.” As I was flipping through the pages, I found that the word “rape” is in here. I bought it for my 5 year old because he’s reading and he asks me what certain things mean and how to spell words, so I thought ‘let me buy him a dictionary that’s appropriate for his age’. I was wrong to buy him this dictionary. If you’re going to have words such as rape, don’t call it a children’s dictionary or say that it’s geared towards young students. If I wanted that type of vocabulary in my child’s dictionary, I would’ve just bought a regular dictionary.
