They Make Real Projectors. Don't Waste Bucks On This Flimsy, Ineffective Toy.
I hate this thing and wish that I hadn't gotten swept up in the ad that came across my Facebook page. I am a professional artist for 35 years now. I should have known better. This thing sucks. If I were a beginner, and had to rely on it, I would just give up and get another job. What you can see through the viewer is so limited that, unless you're wanting to draw a shoe or an apple, you'll be disappointed. It's like looking into a microscope, but a cheap, old-fashioned one, like we had in Jr. High School. You must have perfect, unwavering light for it to work. You must have the vision of a hawk and a neck as steady as a steel girder. If you touch the viewer, on its tiny, wobbly stalk, it will move and you'll lose your place. If you really want to speed up the process and work accurately, get an actual art projector. This contraption is a study in frustration. The packaging is the most successful thing about it. The Lucy sucks so royally that it deserves an award for sucking. It really does. Run from it.
