Accuracy not included
Couldn't be more disappointed! I followed the directions, went to the fitbit website and followed their recommendations on getting their product to work better and it was never accurate. At full sweat mid way through a cardio work out it was reading 80BPM! Next day while standing around at work on a VERY slow day doing next to nothing it would go from 60 to 115 BPM, now the app says I have over an hour of high activity and it is more than safe to assume my burned calories are inflated as well! Real useless information if it is not even remotely close to accurate!!! I let two other people try it on and it went from 115 on me to 125+ on my coworkers. So it was clearly not working right on three people. That night I changed the heart-rate settings from auto to on and that was no help so I charged it overnight. Next day it was not picking up a pulse, try again and nothing, several tries later and my pulse, just after waking up, is 115! BS! So I go back online and change the heart-rate setting from on back to auto and same deal, I am doing cardio in bed! I moved the thing up my arm further, sometimes seemed accurate, sometimes it wouldn't pick up my heat beat. I let it out a notch and it would read well and then go to either 80 BPM during cardio or maybe 115 depending on how it felt. While working out it was more of a distraction than a tool, it was annoying to not get an accurate reading while constantly shifting and adjusting it in hopes that it would live up to its description! Same work out last week I manually (so there is a little room for error) took my heartbeat and it was more in the 144 range, so I know 115 is low for the work out I was doing. The app was nice, and this would have been an amazing product if it worked properly. Sleep tracking seemed to work well too. It tells time too, it does that well; everything else you could guess better than the fitbit hr can. In all I say RUNNNNN!!!! I am going to try a Sunnto with the chest strap, it has far less features but reviewed much better and should be more accurate.
