The quality of this device isn't really great. The pieces are flimsy and there's no thermal contact between the case and the drive. Also, the USB 3.0 to USB-C cable included has loose contact ends, causing random disconnections which were caused by wiggling. I'm not sure whether the cable ruined my drive or the heat management, but one of the two did, and I cannot get the otherwise brand new drive to work across multiple OS's, hardware interfaces, machines, etc. With certainty it fried an expensive drive.
