I got this to avoid frequent refilling a pitcher I had from other manufacturer. The problem with PUR 18 cup disneser is with its filter. It barely works for 2 weeks. It is a hit or miss. I have never had a filter works for the entire claimed duration. My frustration grew as it was getting very expensive to replace the filter every 2 weeks sometimes in a week. I tried all the hacks of removing filers, shaking it and keeping submerged in water for a while and then use it. But, that becomes tedious if you have to do it every 2 days. I would not reccomend this. At least three of my friends have moved on to other water solutions after frustration with its quality.
