Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

Note: a lot of reviews say how loud the alarm is but I think they've improved that. I looked up a youtube video of the sound before I bought it, but when it came in the mail the sound was more of a song than the wailing siren from the video and it is quite loud but not terribly alarming.. at least if you're expecting it! I included a video. I really liked this egg cooker and used it regularly at first. Like other reviewers have said, I did end up needing more water than specified on the cup for soft-boiled eggs, but I just added my own lines so that wasn't a problem. After a couple months of using it I took a little break for about a month and when I went back to use it again recently, it didn't work anymore. When I try to turn it on, the ringer goes off like it's already done, but the water is still in the bowl and it hasn't even started. I know this because the light never turns on (the light should be lit when it's in use). I've tried multiple times now just in case it starts working again but it hasn't :(
