Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

The product itself is OK and works as advertised. The main reason for the poor review is that there was an insert with the bike rack offering a $10 reward for posting a 5-star review on Amazon. As this is a subversion of the customer review process.. By generating too many fake 5-star reviews, it means I may have been mislead into buying the wrong item. Reviews of many products are often self promotion, but this goes outside the normal bounds.
