Only got 37% through before I just couldn't anymore (spoilers)
At least that was my last update on good reads. This was the best pick on my First Reads list and to start it wasn't terrible. There were lots of weird things that bothered me, like how in-depth the author went with Zoe's food obsession. Seriously, how many times do we need to hear about her bizarre eating habits and need to savor every morsel of food that enters her mouth and how orgasmic it is to her? But I was hooked by the curiosity behind what had happened to her in her past. The drive behind her work. The hints that she too had been a victim, no, a survivor of a serial killer. There's nightmares and trouble sleeping and case files triggering things, talks with her sister about "what happened"and flashbacks. And we finally get to the big reveal and... She as a teenager locked herself in a bedroom with her little sister while skeevy neighbor banged on the door and other neighbor called cops and OMG NOTHING HAPPENED! Nothing. Happened. To. Her. Oh and now her skeevy neighbor is the serial killer she's hunting down. I'm done. I've tried for a month to pick this back up but I just can't.
