Cheap plastic hook ends just snap off - great for losing your gear, or an eye!
Don't bother. The elastic is ok, it's the hooks on the ends that fail. Stretched just 2x their length, the cheap plastic hooks just snap and break. After missing the return window, I threw them out, realizing most everything tied down is worth more than these poorly made tie-downs. And piety the poor person driving behind me as my water bottle or kit bag flies off the sissy bar. This product is a safety hazard.
