This is a terrible funnel. I've had a Ball plastic funnel for 20 years from Target but needed a second one and chose this one. Big mistake. Thank goodness I hadn't given away the plastic one. Look at the difference in the height of the lip. The metal one barely reaches into the jar and any slight amount of sloppiness in pouring slips the funnel out of the jar mouth. I made a huge mess the first time I used it, pouring soup. Not only did it create a mess, but it was extremely dangerous. I use glass jars not only for canning produce but for storing leftovers and I need a well made and safe funnel. Using this funnel requires that you hold it with one hand while pouring with the other. This action is not only dangerous but unnecessary. This funnel is worthless.
