DONT BUY AMAZON GIFT CARDS! I learned the hard way that if there is a problem using a gift card, customer service is completely unable to help. My daughter recieved an electronic gift card from her grandmother. The claim code didn't work. I contacted customer service 5 times, spending almost 2 hours on the phone. Each time I was assured that the problem was being sent to a department who would resolve the problem for me. Each time I received an email soon after informing me that they couldn't help and to call back. They are unable to send a new claim code or apply the balance to my account for me. My daughter is not going to be able to redeem the $50 gift card and I am concerned now about the people I've sent these gift cards to. Have they been unable to redeem them as well? I won't be buying more Amazon gift cards with this kind of customer service.
