If you would like to own the physical embodiment of the phrase "they don't make 'em like they used to," purchase this worktable. EVERY expense was spared in the manufacture of this table. The edges of the metal frame are razor sharp, and the cut and drilled edges of the wood are equally unfinished. Do not assemble this table without gloves. The roll pins require a concerning amount of force to drive in, and there's a 50/50 chance you'll end up with the vice handles 180° apart from each other (as pictured), because there's no key or D-shaft to provide consistent alignment. Even a sticker or a Sharpie mark would've been appreciated here. I was unlucky and had to pound one of the overly-tight roll pins out and back in; literally three times the work on my end to save less than a cent on theirs. Saving another cent, there are absolutely no threads cut in the plastic risers that secure the stationary half of the vice. Because of this, it takes tremendous force to tighten these bolts, and the plastic is, without a doubt, under extreme stress and subject to failure at some point, likely when I'll need the table most. Buy a different worktable, even if it means spending twice as much. This thing is an absolute PITA nightmare to assemble. If you do make the unfortunate decision to purchase this product, throw the instructions out immediately and search YouTube for "workmate 225 assembly" instead. None of the parts are labeled, and the illustrations in the instructions otherwise fail to identify parts accurately. Probably the worst part is getting it all assembled and then realizing that it's only MAYBE 2 inches wider and taller than it was unassembled. I would've paid $10 more for it to ship fully-assembled. However I would've paid $15 more for it to have smooth edges, a better system for vice handle retention, and threads cut or molded into the plastic risers.
