I was very impressed by the look and feel of the radio (Considering the price). Unfortunately, before entering any repeaters into memory, I noticed the unit already had several programed in. This basically meant I had received a previously returned item. After debating what action to take, I decided to keep it since it looked brand new. After resetting the unit to its factory defaults, I gave it a quick test in simplex mode using my Yaesu HT. Turns out the Mic was dead and nothing could be transmitted. This leads me to believe this was the reason for the previous return. I sincerely hope this doesn't get repackaged and sent to another customer. BTW my this is the second time I had to write a review. The fist one seemed to have been deleted.
