After 8 months both Tug leashes locking /breaking feature no longer are working. Both of my dogs are female golden retrievers that weigh in around d 47 lbs each. the leash does work better than the Flexi from a retracting standpoint but not being able to hold the leash in a short length is a real danger to my pets. I'd recommend looking at other options besides Flexi or Tug. Forget about wasting your money on a Flexi brand retractable leash. This leash is awesome, better built, comfortable to hold and less expensive than Flexi leashes. I bought 2 Flexi retractable leashes and within 2 months both have issues with retracting the web belt. Wrote Flexi twice and never even received a reply. Terrible customer service... this new leash is awesome my two golden can get up to 16 feet from me with ease and how ever fast they come back this leash keeps up with them... would highly recommend
