Garbage
Seasons 1 and 2 were excellent. Season 3 was bad but I still slogged through it in hopes that it would pull itself up from a nosedive. Season 4 was the show slamming into a mountainside. The BCR came out of nowhere, not even a mention in other seasons, suddenly all the characters are talking about them like they were there the whole time just the audience didn't know.
The BCR didn't even make sense within the context of the story, The Empire is oppressing all non Japanese but the revolution is blacks only? Not only does it make no logical sense, that revolution would be doomed to fail since it is only made up of a minority of a minority fighting a world power. They existed to push a political message and nothing else and ended up being just nazis on the other end of the political spectrum. The push for a communist Ethno-State makes them the good guys?
Then there is the ending. When Smith was making plays in Berlin I was into it. I thought it might pull itself out of the hole and end strong. Boy was i wrong... The end made zero sense, where did all those people come from? How did the portal open? Why did the portal open? As far as we knew the Nazis were the only ones with a portal and they were scouring other worlds for their technology, this never came up?
I should've stopped watching at episode 3 like i was going to, instead i decided to finish it. Season 4 ruined an excellent show. The only interesting characters were Kido and Smith, they were supposed to be the bad guys but i enjoyed their characters. The good guys were all kinda one dimensional, I feel Juliana didn't really develop as a character whatsoever and as the main character of the show her arc was almost nonexistent in the last 2 seasons.
I Suggest skipping seasons 3 and 4 when the show goes off the rails. Actually just skip the whole thing entirely, there is really no payoff for watching any of the show at this point.
