I won't sacrifice any more time on this one. The writing is poor, juvenile in nature, awkward. No thought is given to the validity of details, such as a phone number written on a napkin surviving on a body submerged on water for weeks - are you kidding me? And speaking of kidding, this author's idea of humor: male detective says he can't get fired because he has a baby on the way, female detective says "oh, really", says she made a funny because it sounded as if HE was having a baby, etc. See why I mentioned juvenile? Did an eight year old write this? Corrupt rich father, rogue female detective who invariably defies orders, possibly corrupt higher-ups, yadayadayada. It has been written countless times, and usually with better writing than this.
