Interesting plot. Very, very, poorly edited. So badly edited, in fact, that I started jotting down errors. A character doesn't "wreck havoc;" he "wreaks havoc." A character doesn't make a "hallow resolution;" he makes a "hollow resolution." And an articulate character would not think that his "conscious was clear," but rather that his "conscience was clear." If you have an original and well-developed story, you owe it to yourself to pay a professional editor to clean up your work -- especially if a sequel is on the horizon.
