NOT meant for cold weather
This is not insulated at all for very cold weather. The glass isn't doublepaned, the flap also isn't really insulated nor does it really click well into place, even with the magnet.
I had to remove it once the weather got colder (but only around 40-50 degrees) because my whole basement was so cold that it screwed up the heating in my whole house and our energy bill was going insane. Besides the door being non-insulated, with the door partially opened, you have cold air coming through the sliding glass door and the other glass. I tried several things to insulate so that we could make it work, but no amount of foam sealers, plastic insulation or anything else I did helped.
It actually was fine in the first month or 2, but once December came, it had to be taken out. If you don't really get cold weather, then this is fine, but I am going to need a better solution.
