I was honestly looking forward to getting this camera for my home, but don't make the same mistake I did. I have had issues with this camera from the moment it went up, and the support from Ring only made things more frustrating. From the start...the package is great - it comes with everything you need...even the drill bit! The battery took a few hours to charge, but never indicated it was done charging - even though it was 100% when I put it in the camera. After 24 hours, the battery was reduced by 1%, so don't expect it to last 6 months or as long as Ring suggests it will. The battery is not secured and can be easily stolen (Ring will only cover it up to a year). I was a little shocked it was so easy to get to. Getting the camera setup with the app was fairly simple and easy to do. Connecting to the camera after that was a gamble. Sometimes I could connect, sometimes I couldn't. Sometimes the wi-fi signal was OK, sometimes it was poor. And by the way, the device was located about 20 feet from the wireless router. Pretty much every other device has a perfect signal where the camera is located, including an old IP camera I had there for 5+ years. Night one - 47 degrees outside, and condensation forms over the camera lens completely (see the image and video). This was never an issue with the old camera (not a Ring product), so I contact Ring Support to see what's up. After a 45 minute wait, Ring support suggested I wipe the lens. Clearly, this is not something I would have thought of myself?!? After taking a few deep breaths and explaining I did that, the next suggestion was to move the camera. The weather doesn't change a few feet away, so this was the most asinine of suggestions I received. The next solution was to wait for warmer weather. I am not kidding. Ring support suggested I wait for warmer weather. Finally, we looped back to relocating the camera. At that point, I just had to shake my head and laugh. I am returning this camera to Amazon and hope it gets destroyed. Do yourself a favor - DO NOT BUY THIS CAMREA. You'll regret it eventually. Update...One day after this review was posted, Ring contacted me (two different people) and wanted the opportunity to speak with me more. I was pretty much done with Ring, as you can gather from this review, but I agreed anyhow. A few hours later, I was on the phone with someone at the Ring offices. My experience this time was completely different. They didn't offer excuses or make absurd recommendations. To make a long story short, I gave them a second chance with a different camera. Actually, I was so hopeful after this, I now have two Ring devices (Doorbell Pro and Floodlight). Don't get me wrong, the battery camera is indeed horrible and I would never recommend it. I'll be leaving reviews on the other two devices, but they are much better in every way.
