Not the same as the ORGINAL!
About 10 years ago my doctor gave me a McKenzie cervical roll. It made a huge difference in neck and shoulder pain and I almost never went to sleep without it. It got leaned on, sat on, and, since it traveled with me, it got mushed into suitcases and even Space Bags, but always returned to its happy, comfy self. A month-and-a-half ago I inadvertently left it behind in a hotel room, and when I realized it 8 hours later, the hotel had already thrown it in the trash. I promptly ordered this one as replacement and was thrilled that it arrived so quickly. I didn't think it felt quite the same as the one I'd lost, but it was OK at first...maybe a little soft. Well, within 3 weeks it started flattening and I was fighting with it, waking up and re-positioning it... now it's just plain flat. Useless and uncomfortable. Someone else complained about getting one that was too hard, and this one is clearly too soft. It's not even a ROLL anymore. Quality control? The fact that this is marketed as THE ORIGINAL McKenzie cervical roll suggests that there is ONE McKenzie cervical roll -- this is not it. A thought. Since the "McKenzie" label is on on the cover and not the foam itself, perhaps the company (or the company's supplier) is doing a bait-and-switch: buying whatever batch of foam rolls happens to be a good deal that month, and sticking them inside the Mckenzie roll covers. That would explain a lot.
