NOT SUPPORTIVE--WISH I COULD RETURN
I rarely write reviews. And I've never granted a one-star review for a product, but this product is deserving of one-star. Indeed, assembly was easy, I was able to assemble this in 30 minutes, with only two people required during the final step. But the chair is not supportive. If you look at the picture (and there's another reviewer indicating this as well), you'll notice that the chair offers no high back support whatsoever. In order for your upper back to receive support you have to excessively and unnaturally lean back in a manner like you wish to recline. Otherwise, if you are sitting upright in what should be the proper seating position, the chair does not ergonomically conform to your body at all, barring the padded lower back. I went back and ensured I followed assembly instructions and that everything was positioned property and tightened correctly and it was. Additionally, I'm 200lbs, and I also found the seat cushion to not be supportive resulting in a strain upon my lower back. I purchased the chair during the pandemic as the desk chair I had used since 2002 (which had none of these issues even after 18 years) decided to finally break on my first day of working from home. I ordered this chair with high hopes and waited for delayed delivery due to the pandemic, and eagerly put this chair together. Now I work on my bed and ruminate how or if I could return this chair during a pandemic and if an additional expense to purchase another $200 chair is worth it. Please pay attention to the more critical reviews of this chair and make an informed purchasing decision. Look at the upper portion of the chair and how it neglects to support the upper back--indeed all chairs provide this space to a degree--but the spacing for this chair is to a comical degree.
