I ordered this kettle after researching forever and was so excited to receive it, but.....when it arrived I found it to have a defective base that rocks back and forth. The cord is tucked neatly into the hole provided for it, so that is not the issue. It would drive me nuts dealing with this thing rocking every time I would take the kettle on and off. Just disappointing. Had I paid thirty dollars for it, I would modify it and live with it, but for a $70 tea kettle one expects some actual quality control. I am seriously wondering whether I was shipped one that had already been returned as defective because now it shows out of stock. Therefore I can’t exchange it and will have to order a different model. Uncanny timing to go out of stock right after I ordered this defective one........
