Better than melatonin!
Bad dialogue delivered badly. What passes for scares are scenes where characters are startled by a family member who appears to have snuck up on them. Repeatedly. Oh and a mother who didn't remember asking her daughters to peel potatoes. Early in the film a family moves into a new home. One of the two teenaged daughters brings a box marked "BASEMENT" to that very room, whereupon she stumbles on a [cue dramatic music] Ouija board! The door suddenly closes behind her; she runs to open it but it won't open! She cries out for her father, who opens it within 30 seconds. Despite the short amount of time in the basement, which appears to be on the same level as the kitchen (no stairs), and had daylight coming through its window, she sobs hysterically upon release. I should have turned it off then. Don't say you weren't warned.
