Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I bought this based on the reviews and initially was happy with it. However now it's failed after 4 months and Whynter wants me to ship it to California (from Florida) to get it checked/serviced. I can't believe that's the only option. Buyer beware if you ever need service. Update: After some back and forth emails with Whynter CS, the only option is indeed for me to ship it at my cost to CA. I don't have the original packaging, which requires me to spend money on packing this thing. After considering the cost and effort, I've decided to trash it and buy in the future from merchants that have repair options to send a tech out to your home, or at least offer a local repair facility. This is an absolutely ridiculous solution for the end-customer.
