So we made a fall themed cake with red, orange, yellow, etc. Upon tasting it for the first time, there was this god awful after taste but not with every bite. We eventually narrowed it down to the bites with red icing. Upon further research, this kit does not include the "no taste" red coloring?! WHY WOULD A FOOD PRODUCT EVEN HAVE A BAD TASTING OPTION AND A GOOD TASTING OPTION? They sell the non-terrible tasting red coloring separate! For a $20 kit of food coloring, I expected better. I'm tempted to return the entire kit just in case any other colors taste terrible too. Selling the "no taste" red coloring separate is clearly greed and has not only ruined my cake, but left a foul taste in my mouth; literally AND figuratively!
