Seriously?
I tried, out of curiosity I tried.
I knew it would be…something, just from reading the description (“mountain lair”? Come on.) and the “about the author”. I literally do not care who anyone supports politically, I am not angry with you for having your opinions or views; I genuinely do not care. But the about of times Trumps name was dropped in the first 2 pages was extremely irritating. We get it, you’re an ultra conservative Republican; good for you.
I wasn’t even able to make it through the first chapter before I had to remove this book from my Kindle. The writing is terrible with the repetitive use of the main female characters full name and the unnecessary details (note: if you stop the car and are getting out in the next sentence you don’t actually have to tell us you turned the car off). Short choppy sentences mingling with extensive run-on sentences made it extremely difficult to choke down. I’m all for freedom of speech and following your dreams, but reading this was like watching the early auditions of American Idol. The contestants come on and talk about how their mom tells them they’re this magnificent singer but when the open their mouth it sounds like a sack full of cats screeching. Sometimes, it’s better to be honest and no one was honest with this hidden author.
