This product received good reviews and was listed as an Amazon choice, so despite the red flag low price and plastic material, I gave it try as a Xmas present. I spent more on berries as a topping than the price of the waffle maker. it says to not use spray oil, but to oil the burners, which is hard when one burner is open and in the air. The instructions also say about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes for a waffle, but the first waffle was not remotely cooked at that point. The next was cooked on the outside after 4 minutes, but not cooked on the inside. All in, with a full batch of batter and 5+ minutes in between each waffle, I had maybe 2 good ones in 30+ minutes of cooking. This was a one and done purchase. If we kept the box, I would have packed it up and shipped it back, but now it is in our donation pile.
