We loved the idea of this! We, like most of you, are tired of litter being scattered around the floor. We thought this product was great for the first little while until the urine smell started lingering. No matter how much we cleaned the box or replaced the litter, the smell was still there. I vacuumed the rug to get the litter out (that it was catching). Finally, I pulled up the rug itself to find it saturated in urine. It, by the way, is NOT waterproof. So our cats, thinking that the rug was very nice "grass", were skipping the box completely and just peeing on the rug... which, then soaked through and onto/into our flooring. So, if you DO, choose to get one of these, I would highly recommend that you put a waterproof barrier between the rug and the floor you set it on. Enough of my review... now off to find a solution that works. :(
