Eh
I am really surprised at all the 4 and 5 star ratings for the latest release. While JE is not an author of classic literature, I loved the earlier books. They were laugh out loud funny. I always looked forward to them. There was real sexual tension. Stephanie and Lula were funny. Like some other readers I question did JE actually write this one? I found Stephanie's character to be flat and boring. I laughed out loud once during the whole book. If you only read the first few chapters one would have thought that Lula was the main character in this book. I don't remember Wulf from a previous book and don't really understand why he was in this one. He added nothing to the story line. The premise of Lula and Stephanie running a diner could have been funny. It wasn't. Like others I am tired of the Stephanie, Ranger, Joe triangle. It's time for Stephanie to put on her big girl panties and make a choice. There was very little of Grandma Mazur and her whackadoodle antics, no sitting in her mom's kitchen, no funerals. Maybe the series is becoming too formulaic if these are the things I'm looking for. I don't care for JE's other book series. I may have to look for a new author.
